Film outline and Planning

Pitch:

As a group we decided to make a crime/ conspiracy thriller aimed at males aged 18-25 called 'Chasing Shadows'. The film follows the investigation into the serial killings of serial killers. Our opening will begin with a detective rushing from his office with his files to his car and to be shot to grab the audiences attention, before having a flashback to the begging of the storyline. Both of the characters faces will not be brought to light in the first part of the opening to keep his identity a mystery.  The enigma code as to why these serial killings will be unravelled following this scene as the detective is visitted by the ghost of his dead wife who warn's him to 'stop'. It will be later revealled in the film that the detective is carrying out the investigation into his own murders as he seeks revenge for his late wife's murder.

Script outline

This is our initial idea for how our film opening will be set out as well as the locations and the characters speech. However this script may be slightly altered later on when we create our storyboard and begin to film and edit our footage depending on what is most suitable.  

Idea's

* We have since recruited Katy to act as the wife in our film and we have re-named our production company 'Bee-A-Nut Productions' as its snappier and more memorable for our audience to remember. 

We tried to relate our logo to the name of our production and distribution company, and our characters descriptions are meant to act as professional gender stereotypes. The names of our production and distribution company we also tried to relate to the genre we were creating and the circumstances we are in (Education- Academy).

Evidence

We all met up to discuss our production and distribution company name's and logo's as well as the characters descriptions in the film, followed by writing the script. After having done this we asked friends who matched/ almost matched the ideal descriptions of our characters to act in our film.
